A Global Plan Competition (and Mighty Plan)

Summary: There’s no overall, widely-accepted plan for making sure that humanity has the wherewithal to address current and future problems. Three global plans that are not well-known all have major flaws. We’ve developed a book-length draft of a plan called Mighty Plan, at MightyPlan.Org. It’s based on our generic “Master Formula for Change:”

Many Group Genie projects are actually components of Mighty Plan.  Yet as good as the plan is, there are two ways to do better.  First, the plan includes an amendment process. Just as the U.S. Constitution evolves and can be improve through amendments, we expect our plan to evolve.  Second, we would like to someday organize a high-profile global plan competition.  There are many reality show competitions and many of them are somewhat farfetched. Here would be one reality show that would have global significance.  Plans would be of broad interest if people could see how they could personally benefit and be involved.  This is in contrast to the centralized United Nations type of plans that are technical and organizational.

Here are some Group Genie projects that are part of Mighty Plan:

 

*  The Sakai is the clear vision.

 

*  Superprograms, PTTN, Helper’s Helper are methods to reach the vision.

 

*  Project Cluetrain is designed to produce incentive and motivation to use the plan and methods. (Meanwhile, Helper’s Helper, superprograms and PTTN have incentives built-in.)  

*   Jeanie and the Dragons is meant to help people get past doubts and obstacles.

   

*  Supergoodness, Supercharity, and the new definition of the good person are meant to get people to choose the best projects over competing activities.

Status: A old draft of Mighty Plan, written in 2007, is online at MightyPlan.Org. The updated version is Book Five of the Group Genie book set, due for release in spring 2011.

   

Plans and Needs: Mighty Plan needs revision, readers and a critique. It also needs a short video to promote the idea.

   

Potential Impact: The impact could be world-changing, immense. It could lead to a hundredfold reduction in human suffering and death, as well as the stabilization of Earth’s life-support systems. Along with superprograms it could lead to one of the greatest turning point in human history.
